Ski Levels

Level 1 Those who have never skied before
Those who can snowplow straight but cannot stop
Level 2 Those who can snowplow straight and stop
Those who can only make turns in one direction
Those who can make turns but stop at every turn
Level 3 Those who can make turns continuously and smoothly while snowplowing
Slope type: gentle (e.g. White Lover and Family)
Level 4 Those who can ski while keeping their skis parallel to some extent
Those who can control their speed and make smooth turns
Slope type: Mildly steep (e.g. Night Skiing and Bambi)
Level 5 Those who can ski on compacted snow courses while keeping their skis parallel
Those who can make some small turns
Slope type: Moderately steep (e.g. Dynamic and Elite)
Level 6 Those who can make small and large turns on any type of slope while keeping their skis parallel
Slope type: Moderately steep e.g. compacted or uneven, deep snow; bumpy terrain

Sownboard level

Level 1 Complete beginners (who have snowboarded only once or twice)
Those who have snowboarding experience but want to start over from square one
Those who cannot slide sideways down a slope (sideslip)
Those who have snowboarded on level ground but never taken a lift
Level 2 Those who can take a lift and slide sideways down a slope (and have snowboarded once or twice)
Those who cannot do the toe-side sideslip (facing the mountain)
Those who can snowboard in zigzags but cannot make turns
Those who cannot stop and fall when directing their snowboards downhill and thus gain speed
Level 3 Those who can make one-way turns (and have snowboarded three to five times)
Those who end up speeding when they make toe-side turns (to the mountain side)
Those who rarely fall on mild slopes
Those who want to snowboard from the top down to the bottom of a beginners' course (e.g. White Lover Course) without falling
Level 4 Those who can almost slide down a gentle slope while making turns without falling (and have snowboarded five to nine times)
Those who find making turns difficult and want to do so with ease
Those who want to make turns by controlling speed
Those whose turns become unstable on slightly steep slopes
Level 5 Those who can slide down a slightly steep slope while making turns without falling frequently (and have snowboarded 10 times or more)
Those who want to make fast turns in a timely fashion
Those who have snowboarded their own way but want to go back and learn the basics
Those who cannot make carving turns
Level 6 Those who can make carving turns to some extent but want to further improve their skills
Those who want to snowboard skillfully regardless of snow conditions
Those who want to gain a better understanding of long and short turns etc.
Those who want to take advantage of mountain terrains while snowboarding
Those who want to try the fakie, ollie, etc. by utilizing the characteristics of their snowboards
